Our Story
Established in 1993, Hawaiian Earth Recycling is Hawaii’s largest green waste recycling company and a vital partner in reducing landfill use. Dedicated to sustainability, we transform green waste into valuable resources that support agriculture, landscaping, and environmental health across the islands.
We recycle over 140,000 tons annually, turning them into soil amendments, blends, mulching materials, and erosion control products for use throughout Hawaii. Hawaiian Earth Recycling works closely with the City and County of Honolulu's Department of Environmental Services to provide a location for residents to deposit their household greenwaste. Since inception, we have diverted over 2,600,000 tons of greenwaste, foodwaste, and wood from the landfills and recycled them into nutrient rich compost that is then reintroduced back into the aina for the community to use at home, work or school.
Hawaiian Earth Recycling has 3 locations on Oahu to serve you. Our main facility is located in Wahiawa on Wilikina Drive. We also have transfer stations located in Kapolei at Campbell Industrial Park and in Waimanalo on Mokulama Street. Additionally, Hawaiian Earth operates 3 facilities on the Big Island in conjunction with the County of Hawaii. On Hawaii Island we are located in Hilo, Waikoloa and Kealakehe.
